Privacy Notice
The Health and Benefit Trust Fund takes your privacy seriously. The Fund follows strict guidelines to protect your privacy and your Personal Health Information (PHI).
HIPAA, or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, describes how insurance providers, medical providers and Benefit Trust Funds handle your private information. To comply with HIPAA, the Health and Benefit Trust Fund will never disclose the details of your PHI.
You may authorize the release of your PHI if you want to share your information with your physician or others. To allow the Fund to release your PHI, complete and return the Authorization to Release PHI Form (PDF).

FAQs
As an Active Member, what is our Medical Coverage?
The Health and Benefit Trust Fund offers medical benefits to active eligible participants. Medical benefits include coverage for preventive care, doctor visits, hospital stays and other medical services. The Health and Benefit Trust Fund shares most of the cost of medical services when you visit in-network providers, meaning you pay less out-of-pocket for your health care. The Medical Plan is administered by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. For more information, go to the Medical Benefits page.
