Are Your Kids’ Vaccinations Up to Date? Are Yours?

Vaccines play an important role in protecting the health of our children, families, and communities. As children participate in childcare, school, camps, sports, and other group activities, they may be exposed to contagious illnesses that can spread quickly. Vaccine-preventable diseases can be transmitted to infants, children, adolescents, and vulnerable family members, including grandparents and individuals with weakened immune systems.

With schools starting back up, now is the time to make sure you and your children are up to date.

Here are the CDC-recommended immunization schedules for children age 6 and under and for children ages 7-18. The schedules also contain information about vaccine-preventable diseases and the serious complications they can cause. You can also visit the CDC’s website to find information about adult vaccination recommendations.

By keeping immunizations current, you help protect your family and contribute to the health and well-being of our entire community.
